Leadership in Dentistry
To say that Dr. McNeel has a "passion" for all things related to dentistry would be an understatement. He knew at a young age that he wanted to be a dentist and to this day it's still true. He serves as a coach, mentor, and serves as a sounding board for several of his colleages across the US.
One unique aspect of Ozark Prosthodontics is not only Dr. McNeel's passion but also his desire to assist others who hope to become a dentist. In 2005, Dr. McNeel started a Pre-Dental Internship for University of Arkansas. The internship not only allows the students to make money while learning but also allows them to earn college credit. Dr. McNeel coaches and guides each student through their dental school applications and interview process. To date, Dr. McNeel has assisted 3 students into dental school and hopes to provide similar opportunities for hundreds more.
I believe working there was one of the most valuable things that I did in my preparation for dental school. It not only provided me with the most up-and coming technologies in dentistry, but gave me the assurance that a career in dentistry was right for me. I was introduced to a wide variety of lab work and techniques which gave me confidence during my interviews. Dr. McNeel, himself, also conducted a mock-interview with me to prepare me for questions they might ask. I am so grateful to the entire staff for their help and support throughout my application process. I truly believe that working there is a big reason why I was accepted.

Observing at Ozark Prosthodontics showed me how high-tech dentistry has become, and how much potential the field has for future advancements. I tell my friends about the equipment here and they always are always wowed. Most of the general public does not even know this stuff exists, but it’s absolutely amazing! When I began working at Ozark Prosthodontics, I quickly learned a lot about the inner-workings of a small business, and I realized that there are a lot of important little details to keep track of if you want an office to run like a well-oiled machine. I know that the general business sense I have already gained, along with my knowledge about new and emerging dental technologies will help me immensely on the road to becoming a dentist. I will probably never be able to thank everyone here enough for what they have done for me. They are wonderful people, and their help has been truly priceless.
